Couple’s Maternity Session at Joshua Tree National Park | Paige and Alex
The beauty of this passion and work of mine is that every client, and every session, tells a unique story. Paige and Alex's maternity session in Joshua Tree National Park was a tale of love and new beginnings. Paige and Alex are friends of mine first and clients second. I crossed paths with them when Paige was midway through her pregnancy, so I was truly honored when they asked me to capture this time in their lives.
From the very first time I met Paige and Alex, it was clear that they were more than just a couple—they were kindred spirits whose love for each other spoke volumes. The excitement of their newest addition to the family only deepened the connection. I knew immediately that they would be such good parents.
Due to Paige being so far along in her pregnancy, we opted for a sunrise session to avoid the desert heat. I’m also a huge fan of the morning golden hour's warm light, so it was a win-win. Paige was truly a vision against the natural beauty of the park. Joshua Tree served as the perfect backdrop for their session.
The beauty of documentary-style photography is that I am able to tell a story as it unfolds naturally. Paige and Alex embraced this approach effortlessly, allowing their love for one another to shine throughout the entire session. These two are truly best friends. From tender embraces to giggles and little glances, their connection filled the gaps and made our session feel like an escape.
Fast forward a few weeks, and Paige and Alex are now thriving in the joys of parenthood with their precious newborn baby girl. I am so honored to be a part of their journey. And I cannot wait to capture their family in another session soon (with their adorable baby, of course!).
