Laguna Beach Engagement Session | Brittnee and Tiernan
In the world of photography, every session is so beautifully unique. The wonder of this work is that you never know who you’ll end up working with, or the stories you’ll get to tell. Recently I had the opportunity to document the love story of two old friends, Brittnee and Tiernan. We go way back to the awkward days of middle school. It was an extra special experience to be all grown up together, celebrating their love. We also got to shoot against the beautiful backdrop of Laguna Beach, California. And I’m so excited to share their images with you all!!
Like many couples who are about to step in front of the camera, Brittnee and Tiernan expressed a bit of nervousness. Worries about posing awkwardly or not knowing what to do were on their minds, but as we strolled along the shores of Laguna Beach those concerns quickly melted away. I guide my clients through the process, integrating movement and moments of interaction throughout. After all, every session is about the love you share between one another. The real magic happened when they allowed themselves to be vulnerable, and embraced the authenticity of their relationship. It’s my favorite part of every session- watching couples relax and simply enjoy being with their person.
Laguna Beach, with its sun-kissed cliffs and golden sands, served as the perfect canvas for capturing the love between these two. As a documentary-style photographer, my goal is to freeze moments in time, preserving the genuine emotions and interactions between couples. For Brittnee and Tiernan, the beach became a backdrop that echoed the timeless beauty of their connection.
Reflecting on this experience, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Reconnecting with Brittnee and Tiernan after all these years was nothing short of nostalgic. It was truly such an honor being invited to capture such a special moment in their lives! Life has a beautiful way of bringing paths together, and I’m so glad it chose ours. I am humbled to have been a part of their journey, and to create timeless memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
